Note: I was umbrella-less and this was functional, but jammed open. I used it for half a block, left it outside of a Duane Reade, retrieved it when I exited five minutes later, used it to travel to 30 Broad Street, where I hung it on a scaffolding for someone else to use. It did not die in vain!
